<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><a href="http://redcoatdesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/guy-nursery-002-large-web-view.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-196" title="guy-nursery-002-large-web-view" src="http://redcoatdesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/guy-nursery-002-large-web-view-300x224.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">Here&#8217;s the picture I took of Sophie&#8217;s nursery.  Pretty sad when you compare it to Brandy&#8217;s work!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">I noticed Brandy’s website isn’t just a portfolio of her work, but also a blog.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I’ve noticed a lot of young people (NOT that I am OLD! LOL), women my daughters’ age, do a lot of blogging.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The Internet has really changed socializing, and I suppose my initial opinion of bloggers was not very positive.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I thought it was weird that people wanted to share their journals with the world, or that they were a bit socially retarded and found it easier to communicate at a keyboard versus in person.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">Well, I was wrong.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Gone are the days when women talked to other women at the riverbank while beating their laundry on the rocks.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Gone are the days when your neighbor helped you shell peas on the front porch, and talked.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Our days are no busier than our ancestors, but the type of busyness has changed.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>It’s a solitary busyness that often excludes the fellowship of other women.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">I was a stay-at-home mom when my first two daughters were little.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>My friend, Kathy, (also a stay-at-home mom) asked me to help her make school clothes for her daughter, Rachel.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I took my sewing machine to her house early one morning, and we sewed up at least a half dozen pairs of pants and matching tops.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>We sewed all day, and we talked.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Today, I hardly know my neighbors.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Everyone, including me, is so busy, busy, busy.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>And that’s a shame.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Brandy’s blogs were delightful.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Even though I’ve never met the young woman, it was like sitting down and having coffee with a friend.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The joy she feels about each picture is so evident.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Her favorite subjects are her adorable little girls.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">One of my favorite scriptures is “and let the beauty of Lord, our God, be upon us and establish the work of our hands, yes, establish the work of our hands”.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>God has truly established the work of Brandy’s hands.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Our God created beauty, and this young woman has been given a gift to capture His art on film, and to share her thoughts on-line as a sweet neighbor.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
